Nets

There are bricks scattered randomly
in the corner of the park where the trees
are close together and the sun can barely
see. They were left there after the storage
shed the grounds keeper kept his tools in
was torn apart.

There is a humble skate park withing the
greater park as well. It didn’t have much
more than a few well paved ramps and ledges
that locals would occasionally paint with their
blood when trying to be brave and catch something
magnificent on camera.

The tennis courts had an infestation of centipedes
crawling all over them. They were a special breed that
got scattered throughout the area due to the carelessness of
a local college. They had these bright red antennas like snails
that centipedes don’t usually have, and they moved in tiny circles
as their legs carried them around the nets.
