Crooked Landing

She stands in the center of a hollowed
out tree and breaths in the smoke
of the burning leaves held in her hands.
With many simple demands
she gets every single thing
that she asks for.

With an old electric saw two old men
cut a hole in a frozen lake and start to shake
from the cold when all the ice starts to break.
As the air in their lungs is sapped by the cold
one grabs hold of a fish and sinks his fingers
into both of its eyes.

A pilot drunk and angry in a personal plane,
has trouble finding a lane in the sky.
Burdened by debt and without any friends
he no longer cared that he could fly.
He thought what he wanted
was simply to die,
but he had done this before
landing crooked,
but without any problems.
