A Vague Description of The Surrealist Figure Skating Semi-Finals

A frozen pond that bled as skates would cut it.
The ice made out of flesh of every color.

The skater’s legs constructed from the poles
that held up shower curtains.

The rest of them made
out of metal ducts,
bought in necessary bulk
from the hardware store,
and the judges
were just a single can of sardines.

The audience was mostly man sized
spiders, tripping over
each other; spilling their drinks,
and spilling their thread.

The commentator
was just a normal guy, but his neck
grew long like stretched out gum.

They tried their best to win them all,
but in the end they just settled for some.
